The contract signed on January 10, 2018 concerns the reconstruction of the bridge over the Julka stream in Zabrze along with the trackway to cross ul. The Old Zinc Plant in Bytom.
The works will cover an approx. 386-meter section of the tram route with a total length of approx. 772 m of a single track. As part of the works, a new foundation and track surface will be made. Generally, a ballast structure will be used, and in the area of the bridge over the Julka stream, the rails will be point-attached to the platform with polyurethane-based materials. The bridge structure and the traction network will be rebuilt. Existing traction poles will be painted.
The deadline was set at 6 months from signing the contract.
